Summer 2025

Horse Care Day Camp

Come spend the day with us!

Get ready for a full-filled day of farm chores, hands-on horse activities, , a craft, summer treats, and more!

Our day camps (9am to 1pm) are perfect for busy families where a week-long camp might interfere with other plans or for children who want to “get their feet wet” to see if they enjoy horses! Camps are led by adult supervisors with a ratio of no more than 1:5.

Available dates:

  • June 13th

  • July 11th

  • August 8th

Camp activities are designed for children who recently completed grades K-5/ages 5-11, but we are happy to include older children.

Price per participant is $85.

FAQs

What should a participant bring with them?

Participants must weather appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes (clothing and shoes that are okay to get dirty, as we are a working horse farm). The sun protection of your choice (UV clothings, a hat, and/or sunscreen) is strongly recommended. Also, each participant should bring a bag with the following from home: a beach towel, water bottle, packed lunch (no refrigeration or heating available), and any necessary personal items.

Will there be riding?

Equine Connection Center is an educational equine sanctuary offering equine assisted services. All activities with horses are done on the ground, unmounted (this is not a riding camp). Participants will learn hands-on skills caring for and working with horses from the ground.

Can parents stay and participate?

Yes! While the camp is designed to be “drop off” (all camp supervisors are adult women), a parent is welcome to stay and participate along with their child.

What is the cancellation policy?

Camp fee is due upon registration. The fee includes a $20 non-refundable deposit. Cancellation with a $65 refund is available up to 7 days prior to the camp date. We are not able to refund camp fees for cancellation within 7 days of the camp date (in this case, funds will be considered a contribution to our hay fund).

What if it rains?

Camp may proceed despite rain if conditions are safe (such as chance of light showers). In the event that thunderstorms or other inclement weather is likely, ECC will reschedule camp to a “rain date”. These rain dates are subject to change but are tentatively planned as a shift to the next day (i.e. all camp dates are Fridays, and rain dates would be the following day, Saturday). If a participant is unable to attend a rescheduled camp date, they will be credited with a 90-minute individual session to be scheduled at their convenience.
